I have started looking at different styles of invitations, with regards to the event that we want to start promoting (Re-opening of Peacocks) I think that the design of the invitation itself it is something that could continue through to the layout of the publication and onto larger scale.
I started looking at these due to the interesting use of die-cutting and the colour too. 
It makes me realise that the way in which the receiver interacts with the invitation is something that is important and can be played with. I had initially considered a very plain style, however, I don't think that is making the most of exploring print. Claudia and I had stated that we wanted to do some lazer cutting and so I think we should consider this when designing.
