We both started to think about competitors and how they come across and promote themselves
I started thinking about this due to the comment someone made to us in a crit about the lack of advertising or promotion that Primark employ, their reliance on word of mouth and a loyal customer group was quite an anomaly. The key other competitors for me were: Matalan, New Look and H&M. These groups were using similar methods of promotion, discounted prices, celebrity endorcement and the strength in being global brands.
