I began this project by being given the letterform 'A', a vague starting point. I began by going out and around Leeds and photographing anything that represented 'A'.
Seen on my Design Practice blog.
We were then given the brief to incorporate our research on 'A's and create a hot dog folded book for the book fair.
After experimenting with the different ways books can work, not always straight forward 2D, images/text on a page.
I remembered the technique of quilling that I think looks really crisp if done well so I started experimenting.
Here are some examples of quilling by others.
Examples of work by Rob Ryan, suggested by Amber to look at.
Other work exhibited in Leeds College of Art.
