Paul Pensom Lecture

We had a lecture by the Art Director of the art and design publication Creative Review. He informed of his influences, key peers and influential publications. What he focused on was his experience at Creative Review, including the re-design.

Appropriate, creative, obsessive, frustrating, organised, structured...design lives in the detail.

The alterations included: the reduction in size (due to the new post office prices), improvement in paper choices (due to saving money with reduction in size), the title of the magazine.

He explained the importance of thinking everything through and how extensive and perhaps tedious the smallest changes could be. The lecture was extremely insightful, more so due to my naive view on the industry.
